Up All Night
So it's 7:40am and John, Christine, and I have been up all night watching movies and live comedy things, and drinking Cherry Coke... good times :) Not much to really say except here's the movie's and a word for each of them...
- Bill Bailey: Part Troll - Drugs
- How To Deal - Sweet
- Team America: World Police - Fuckyeah!
- Jimmy Carr Live - Bastard
- Robin Williams: Live On Broadway - lol
- South Park: Bigger Longer & Uncut - Canadian
So there you have it... Doubt much will happen today either since we'll probably all fall asleep at some point and not wake up until tomorrow... The weather sucks here at the moment so it looks like the beach trip is gonna be put off for a week or so *sigh*
Shout out to Sara who finished her exams yesterday and has probably been partying way harder than we have all night :) Muchos Love <3
Shout out to Nathalie who's off to Thailand today, have a great time over there! We'll all miss you loads and I hope to see you soon! :) *hugs*
Later everyone~

Happy Birthday Christine!
Happy Birthday Christine! :) Today we pretty much chilled all day, played some tennis, watched some Simpsons, then this evening we went out for Chinese food at a restaurant to celebrate Christine's birthday, she'd never had duck so we got a whole duck with pancakes between me, John and her... Mmmmm :) Then tonight watched SLC Punk, good weird film that Christine brought over and I've now seen twice in the last week :P
Umm... not much else to say about today, it's been a pretty lazy day. We did have a pretty cool thunderstorm but all that did was cause a couple of powercuts and mean we couldn't play tennis for very long.
Hopefully have more to write about tomorrow :) Leave your Happy Birthday comments to Christine!

Frank Miller Day
Today Christine, John, James, Sean, and I went to the Plymouth Vue (the best cos they do Cocacola not Pepsi ;)) Cinema to watch a couple of Frank Miller films - Sin City and Batman Begins :)
Both great films, although the review I saw in Felix (Imperial College Newspaper) about Sin City making Kill Bill look like the Carebears wasn't too far from the truth, it's a pretty brutal movie... Great cast though, can't fault their choices of Elijah Wood and Devon Aoki as two of the most brutal killers in the film. Also have to say, this is a beautiful beautiful film, provided that your idea of beauty is black and white with a lot of shadows and the odd splash of primary colours :)
Batman Begins is easier to write about... Basically you'll like this if you're a fan of Batman. It goes without saying that Michael Caine is brilliant as Alfred, but I'll say it anyway: Michael Caine is brilliant as Alfred; and if you're going to watch the film just for that then you won't be disapointed, it's no small cameo, he's in it throughout :) It's a pretty good film, not as dark as I'd like perhaps, but not a bad film at all... Go out and see it sometime. Man I suck at critiquing, I'm too nice about stuff :P
So schedule from now on... Tomorrow's Christine's birthday so taking her out for some Chinese food, should be fun, then on Wednesday Gary and Carmen are (I believe, nobody tells me anything) coming to stay for a week.
Keep reading and leaving those comments, thanks to everyone who's already left one :) Bye for now~

Yeah so that didn't happen :P
Yeah so the post a day thing didn't really happen :P Ah well, you can let me off right? Christine got here and then a few hours later it was all Dan, Jason and Gary and we were all going out to museums and crap for a couple of days, basic tourist stuff that people seem to think that Christine just had to do while in London. I don't really get it, I lived there since last October and I went to the Science Museum for the first time last Friday. It's so great to have Christine here! Wooooo :D
On another note, since this is the Kaoru Blog not the Kaoru & Shinobu Blog... It was really sad to have to say goodbye to everyone on Saturday :( I hope some of them will take the time to read this Blog so shouts out to Nathalie, Sibley, Matt, Mandy, Aveleen and Tom. I'll miss you all loads and hope to see you again soon and hear from you sooner! *sigh* Saying goodbye to Nathalie sucked, but she was so sweet and I know the time until I see her again is gonna fly by (For those reading who might not know me (who are you? :P), Nathalie is one of my best friends, not my girlfriend, despite how much I might whine about missing her when she's not around)
Anyway, happy thoughts... Christine and I arrived back at my house at 11:30 ish last night and hung out with my brother, John, watching Family Guy and chatting and stuff. It's good to be home and it was really good to see John last night, and my parents (who were away yesterday) and my friend James (who turned up at my door) today, I missed them all a lot. Just kinda taking it easy at the moment, Christine's chatting to people on various IM programs and I think later we're gonna play some tennis and hopefully watch some good British comedy... Maybe Bill Bailey's live show Part Troll, that's good :)
I'll try to blog regularly even if it's not every day! And I'll get the photos off my digicam when I can be bothered/when Christine lets me use my computer. Till then, keep leaving those comments! And whoever left the anonymous comment in the last post, use the "Other" rather than "Anonymous" option and you can put your name and your website if you have one k?
Later everyone~

A post a day...
Yep that's right, I'm gonna try for a post a day, and as soon as I click "publish" on this one I've made it for an entire two days! Woooo :P
So yeah, tomorrow morning, I'm off to Heathrow to pick up Christine! :D There is no way I'm gonna be able to sleep tonight, it's like Christmas back when I was 8 and it was actually worth getting excited about, lol. Soooo excited!!! :D Nervous too of course, meeting people from the Internet never seems to get easier, at least it always sets my nerves on edge... Funny to think it's only 4 years since I had my first online-friend meeting experience, it seems like forever ago.
Anyway, enough reminiscing... Be sure to look out for tomorrow's blog entry, it should (if my damn digital camera decides to work) be the first one many with photos! :D

Eeeek a new kaoru blog!
Yeah that's right, I'm trying my hand at blogging again... Sure my original blog kinda died at the end and only had two or three people reading it, but to be honest it was more an exercise in coding up a simple blog than anything else, now I'm using Google's Blogger and that means more concentrating on actual blogging :) Not that I didn't take the opportunity to play around with the code of this site of course, I used one of the templates they offer but I changed the graphics and text colours from green to blue so they should better match the general KSN feel, unless of course having blue and green would have been preferable to having two slightly different shades of blue.
Anyway, at least this time I should have a bunch to write about... Christine's coming to stay this Thurday, and then a few weeks after that I'm actually off to America! I'm kinda crapping myself, I've only ever been abroad once before and that was to Germany, I keep trying to tell myself that at least this time I won't have the language problem but I probably speak better German than I do American ;) So yeah, expect lots of fun entries and hopefully lots of photos from that and whatever else I get up to this summer! If you want some photos for now head over to my Flickr photoblog which is also linked in the side menu (-->) along with my site and some other stuff.
Finally just wanna say please leave lots of comments, I'd really like to know if/when people are reading the blog and whether or not they're enjoying it :)
